Gout which is famously referred as ‘URIC ACID DIATHESIS’, is a form of arthritis. Having too much uric acid in the blood results in deposits of uric acid crystals which can cause significant amount of joint pain, and this makes daily routine activities painful and difficult. Typically gout affects the big toe and as acute attacks, of pain, swelling, & redness.
Causative factors:
Urate crystals may deposit in your joints and cause the acute flares of inflammation and pain. Increased uric acid in blood leads to the formation of such crystal deposits. Our body forms uric acid from breaking down purines. Eating too much purine rich food will lead to high uric acid levels.
