Dr Ramesh Sabhlok’s Biography:

Dr Ramesh Sabhlok obtained his BDS(Honors) and MDS in Orthodontics from the Faculty of Dental Sciences, King George’s Medical College, University of Lucknow, India and Certificate in Orthodontics from School of Dentistry, University of Louisiana, New Orleans, USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (FDS RCS Edinburgh), Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FDS RCPS Glasgow), Diplomate of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (M.ORTH RCS Edinburgh) and also a Diplomate of the Indian Board of Orthodontics.   He was awarded WHO fellowship to USA for Advanced Training in Orthodontics at the School of Dentistry, University of Louisiana, New Orleans, School of Dentistry University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and College of Dentistry, University of Illinois, Chicago.

Dr. Sabhlok has an illustrious professional career exclusively in the specialty of Orthodontics for last 40 years. He has been associated with the prestigious institutions like Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh in India.  He held senior teaching and clinical positions in India, USA, and United Arab Emirates for last four decades. Dr. Sabhlok was Consultant Orthodontist with Dubai Health Authority, Government of Dubai, United Arab Emirates for last two decades. Presently, he is in exclusive Orthodontic practice in Dubai since October 2010. He is also visiting Professor to the University of Manipal in India.

Dr. Sabhlok has special interest in efficient and effective utilization of Contemporary Orthodontic appliances, Growth modulation with Functional appliances, Non-Extraction treatment and micro-implant Anchorage.  He has worked exclusively with the Pre-adjusted appliance system for the last 40 years and now for the last 20 years is actively involved with MBT Philosophy. He is also Invisalign Certified user and Incognito user.

Dr. Sabhlok was International Consultant Editor of the Journal of Indian Orthodontic Society He has lectured extensively, presented several seminars and Continuing Educational Courses in various International, National Orthodontic and Dental conferences and has many publications to his credit in reputed international Journals and is on the advisory board of many teaching Institutions. Dr. Sabhlok is the recipient of several awards, honors and Medals from the Orthodontic Societies, Educational Institutions, Dubai Health Authority, Government of Dubai and Government of India for developing the specialty of Orthodontics.  Dr. Sabhlok is also Visiting Professor to several universities worldwide.

He is an active member of many International Orthodontic and Dental Organizations, including the American Association of Orthodontists, Fellow of the American College Of Dentists, Fellow of the International College of Dentists and Fellow of the Academy of Dentistry International. He was responsible for establishing Emirates Orthodontic Society.
